2014, l. app 20 cm, altered stoneware & gold 24ct., one off sculptures
I wanted to change the usual shape of the gold bar. Here, it is a fruit recognizable by all. I designed 347,460 euro with, in mind, questions of price and reputation of works of art or design. Gold has always been an established safe bet, 'Guaranteed for Life' and even more. It is a fetish material, enduring like porcelain which is also called 'white gold'. Is there not a polluting factor in their durability since they do not deteriorate?
